What struck me was the creative ways in which waste was being transformed, whether into innovative ingredients or guest merchandise. This drive towards ‘meaningful dining’ is a powerful trend, demonstrating the hospitality industry’s role as both an economic driver and a force for positive change in the community.”
Each Stelliers winner is selected through rigorous criteria, with an emphasis on leadership, innovation, and the impact of their work on their organisations and the wider industry. The judging process is led by a distinguished panel of experts from the hospitality sector, ensuring that only the very best receive this honour.
“It has been incredibly heartening to witness the innovation, leadership, and creativity that these finalists bring. The future of our industry is in great hands, with leaders who are committed to not just excellence, but also to nurturing the next generation of hospitality professionals,” added Dr. Jennifer.
The Asia-Pacific region plays a vital role in driving global tourism, and its growth trajectory remains promising. According to the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), international visitor arrivals are expected to surge, with Asia capturing over 70 percent of total arrivals by 2026. However, varying growth rates across destinations and challenges like staffing and service excellence underline the need for adaptability and innovation within the hospitality sector. Stelliers Asia continues to support this growth by honouring the unsung heroes who are setting new benchmarks in service, sustainability, and guest experience.
Sharing her perspective after interviews with the finalists, Ms. Yona He-Poda commented, “As a hospitality leader, I believe that it is our responsibility to embody the spirit of hospitality and inspire the next generation of talent to join our industry. This is the reason why Stelliers Asia continues to be a pivotal part of our community, to celebrate the success of those who serve.”
