Hong Kong beloved confectionery connoisseur goes beyond cookies to release Pookies, milkshakes and ice cream sandwiches for their grand opening
Cookie Vission is breaking new ground with its first physical store opening its doors in the quaint suburbia of Tai Hang. Beginning with its fantastical cookie recipes sold online, the baked goods brand is now expanding its access and extending its menu with brand new additions available exclusively in store. Founder of Cookie Vission Winnie Pang dreamed of sharing their obsession for the alluring smell of baking; so to convey their obsession to the rest of Hong Kong, and the importance of opening a physical store so customers can enjoy fresh-out-of-the-oven cookies the way they were intended to be enjoyed.
To celebrate its opening, Cookie Vission is launching its very own brand of dessert. Marrying the love for specialty cookies and puff pastry, the Pookie (HK$55) was born. If the signature cookies weren’t enough to satisfy the aching of a sweet tooth, the Pookie is an enhanced and intensified rendition. Classic cookies are wrapped in a caramelised exterior for a crispy on the outside and soft and gooey inside centre. To kick off the launch of Cookie Vission in Tai Hang, the first Pookie flavour of the month is baked cheesecake with chocolate chip cookie for double the pleasure.
Also going bigger and bolder, is the Cookie Vission milkshake. Befittingly named Big Boy Milkshake (HK$128), the ice cream beverage is not the average cold treat, but instead a superabundant adaptation of the original. Each month, a new flavour will be introduced, and for the month of March, the cookies and cream milkshake is hopped up with classic chocolate cake, chocolate fudge sauce, whipped cream, a slice of chocolate layer cake and mini cookies. Other inventive flavours to look out for in the months to come include cookie dough and strawberry shortcake beneath piled on with an overload of toppings like cookie dough butter, Nutella, cookie crumbs, brownie chunks, maple bacon aplenty.
Along with its brand new offerings, Cookie Vission classic Cookies (HK$40 – HK$50) are baked fresh every hour and a daily rotation of eight to ten flavours will be available to customers. Its signature soft crumbly cookie dough (most of which with a to-die-for warm gooey lava centre) has made a name for Cookie Vission in Hong Kong. Fan favourites include the Chocolate Chip Pecan, Nutella Hazelnut, Portuguese Egg Tart, Matcha Green Tea, Spiced S’mores, Oolong Tea, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Epic Chocolate amongst many more.
To accompany the delectable pastries, the new menu also includes cold milk and almond milk (ideal for cookie dunking), homemade Hot Chocolate with burnt oversized marshmallow (HK$45), homemade Lemonade (HK$35), extra thick and creamy traditional Milkshakes (HK$68) and homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches (HK$68) are also on offer. For those pressed for time and looking to get creative and impress, pick up Raw Cookie Dough (HK$120 per 600 grams) to get a head start on at home baking.
