Oceania Cruises’ Regatta Returns to Asia

Oceania Cruises’ Regatta Returns to Asia

First visit to the region following the fleet’s dramatic US$100M re-inspiration

Oceania Cruises, the world’s leading culinary- and destination-focused cruise line, returned to Asia with the recently re-inspired Regatta set to spend the summer season in local waters.

Oceania Cruises’ Regatta is better than new, having been recently re-inspired as part of an ambitious OceaniaNEXT initiative. All-new suites and staterooms are complemented by dramatically restyled public spaces replete with chic and classy residential furnishings and accented by an intriguing international art collection.

The 656-guest Regatta arrived in Singapore on 20 November 2022, the final port of call on her Java Sea Explorer voyage from Darwin, Australia to Singapore, which called at enticing Indonesian locales including Kupang West Timor; Komodo; Lombok (Lembar); and Bali (Celukan Bawang), as well as Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Singapore.

“This is the first time we’ve had an Oceania Cruises ship in Singapore since 2019, so we are delighted to welcome Regatta back to the region. She will be in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Pacific waters for the entire summer season, with plenty of opportunities for immersive exploration,” said Steve Odell, SVP & Managing Director Asia Pacific, Oceania Cruises.

“Seeing Regatta sailing back into Singapore is a cause for celebration for many Asian guests who enjoy her luxury small ship ambience.”

Explore hidden local gems with destination-immersive itineraries

Highlight voyages from Regatta’s local season include The Aussie Adventure, a spectacular 35-day voyage that travels the entire coast of Australia on 12 December, from Sydney to Sydney, via Bali. This cruise can also be enjoyed as a 14-day voyage from Sydney to Bali on 12 December, via Australia’s east coast and a 21-day Boxing Day return journey to Sydney via Australia’s west coast.

Regatta Returns in 2023

For those guests who may have missed out this year, Regatta will return to the region for the 2023 – 2024 winter season. Guests can enjoy a captivating 14-day voyage from Tokyo to Hong Kong, departing 29 October 2023, and calling into Shimizu, Kyoto (Kobe), Hiroshima and Kagoshima in Japan, before cruising the East China Sea towards Taiwan and China, ahead of her final stop in Hong Kong.

There is also an inspiring 15-day Hong Kong to Singapore sailing departing 12 November 2023 that charts the best of Vietnam and Thailand, with overnights in Hanoi (Ha Long Bay), Hue (Chan May), Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), and Bangkok.

Re-Inspiration Program

Regatta’s return to this region will offer guests the first opportunity to experience the sweeping array of dramatic enhancements designed to elevate every aspect of the guest experience, as part of the OceaniaNEXT initiative.

Together with Oceania Cruises’ three other R-class ships, including Insignia, Sirena and Nautica, Regatta has undergone a dramatic re-inspiration, resulting in these better-than-new ships emerging with brand new designer suites and statements, and stunning new décor in the restaurants, lounges and bars. The total investment for the fleet’s enhancements totalled more than US$100 million.

Regatta features four unique open-seating restaurants with eight lounges and bars, a casino and the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Centre. The suites and staterooms boast luxurious, neo-classical furnishings, offering every luxury on board, with 410 professionally trained staff catering to 656 guests.
