The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood Opens the First Chapter of its Story on Cultural Heritage and Architectural Identity

Brand debut in Singapore commemorated by consecutive opening of Wanderlust on 1 March followed by KēSa House in mid-March 2021

Oakwood® today announced the opening of two properties under its newly launched brand, The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood. After the recent signing of the management agreement for three iconic properties in Singapore owned by 8M Real Estate, namely Wanderlust, KēSa House and Ann Siang House, Oakwood will debut the new collection from 1 March 2021. All three heritage landmarks will retain their unique identity and architectural charm while delivering exceptional guest experiences in line with Oakwood’s expertise in hospitality management and service initiatives, supported by its global distribution.

“Oakwood’s diversified brand architecture reflects our guests’ lifestyle preferences. Committed to doubling our portfolio of managed properties by 2025, The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood supports the growth strategy in an emerging market segment, especially in key gateway cities where multiple Oakwood brands are already in operation. It is a natural extension of Oakwood’s core competency in delivering exceptional experiences for guests in various cycles of their life so that they can define hospitality excellence on their own terms. With this new collection of charming properties, we can now offer alternative stories to add to our guests’ inspirational travel journals,” said Dean Schreiber, chief executive officer of Oakwood.

Wanderlust, The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood

The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood embodies the myths and legends of every destination it operates in. Each landmark is a beacon of local discoveries and immersive community engagements. In response to evolving needs of discerning travellers, the newly created brand celebrates the uniqueness of each property, allowing for an inimitable collection of style – from intimate charm and contemporary icons to historic grandeur. Independent travellers, who seek to enrich life through new explorations, will delight in Oakwood’s style of sophisticated residential comfort while dotting each journey with unique stories to tell.

Strategically located in Singapore’s key cultural conservation precincts, Wanderlust and KēSa House pulsate with the rhythm of Little India and Chinatown. Each property’s transition to The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood is marked by the launch of new experiences that reflect Singapore’s unique multi-racial, multi-cultural identity, such as:

In partnership with Onlewo, a local design studio that creates original fabric designs, unique prints of Little India and Chinatown have been fashioned into fabric for use as scarves and pocket squares for the respective team’s uniform.
