WOW is a huge cultural district in Vila Nova de Gaia, on the bank of the Douro River, right in front of Porto city. Barão Fladgate: made to unite from day one
Barão Fladgate building was purposely built to celebrate the wedding of Adrian Bridge to Natascha Robertson. The view, which allows the eyes to be lost on the Douro River and on the riverfront of Porto city, was the witness chosen to celebrate the wedding of the group’s current CEO. This has since been the space chosen by hundreds of couples and families to celebrate the most important moments, in an absolutely unforgettable way.
It’s with this history, that Barão Fladgate, currently Taylor’s restaurant, remains a representation of the tradition. Its classic space, involved by the robust stone walls and the outer balcony, also stands out for its ability, which receives up to 300 guests in walking mode. The ceremony can also be held on the terrace, outdoors, capable of 40 people.
VP: customization and modernity
VP, on the other hand, surrounded by large glass panes and with a space as wide as versatile, accommodates up to 400 guests in walking mode. This place brings us an immense view to the Douro River and Porto, visible from any point in the room and the extraordinary terrace. His upper garden provides an even more incredible view of the Louis I Bridge and Porto, making it the ideal place for ceremonies celebration, with an audience of up to 140 people.
The VP restaurant is a site prepared for events, so its decor is not bound: allowing virtually total customization without giving up all the comfort of a high quality service.
In addition to these spaces, WOW also has Gallery or any of the WOW restaurants, which can be privatized for this purpose. Whatever the kind of party to be held, the catering and bar are always prepared and served in-house, by the specialized teams of the cultural district itself. There are menus already prepared for this purpose, but it is also possible to customize the service to the groom and bride’s tastes.

WOW is the new cultural block of Greater Porto and is located in the historic center of the city, Vila Nova de Gaia. It is born from the renovated Port Wine cellars, in a project that has been classified as of Potential National Interest (PIN).
