Celebrate Christmas and New Year with French Flair at LPM

Indulge in festive seasonal dishes capturing the French-Mediterranean spirit, and groove into 2022

Hong Kong’s most chic restaurant, LPM Restaurant & Bar, is presenting fabulous French-Mediterranean dishes and ingenious cocktails for Christmas and New Year’s Eve that are as elegant and vibrant as the restaurant itself. A delicious celebratory time is assured for all guests, complemented by the restaurant’s convivial ambience, which will be amped to a glittering groovy level on New Year’s Eve.

The talented culinary team, led by head chef Maurizio Pace, have developed a range of exquisite dishes especially for the occasion, which will be available for lunch and dinner in December. Gather a group of friends, or family, and partake of all of these tempting offerings that showcase the finest seasonal produce.

For an indulgent start opt for a full tin of Kaviari’s signature Kristal Caviar (30g HK$1,298/50g HK$2,198), which will be served with a selection of condiments and blini or warm brioche, both made in-house.

Follow this with a trio of gastronomic appetiser delights, beginning with a French cuisine classic, Celeriac, Pears and Capers Remoulade Salad (HK$148). Featuring finely sliced celeriac, balanced perfectly with sweet pear and salty capers, finished with a remoulade sauce, crunchy hazelnuts and parsley.

Another textural masterpiece is the Scallop Tartare (HK$328) that is paired with the in-season Granny Smith apple. Consisting of jet-fresh Japanese scallops lovingly diced and married with cucumber, green apple and celery for contrast and balance, completed with a green apple dressing, purple shiso micro cress and caviar.

The delectable Gratinated Oysters (HK$298) complete the trio, starring Royal oysters (average weight 100g), which have the ideal texture for this dish. Opened to order, the rich oysters are taken to the next level with a topping of Provençal inspired butter that combines butter, roasted red pepper and Herbes de Provence, before being gratinated for a few minutes.

After the refreshing starters, LPM presents four sensational main options for this winter. The first of these is Grilled Pink Seabream (HK$498), sourced from the pristine waters of New Zealand, the flavourful fish only requires a simple seasoning of salt and pepper to accentuate its impeccable taste before being grilled, which adds a slight smokiness. To finish a splash of zesty orange and sage dressing, and fresh orange segments and crispy sage.

For the meat lover there are two decadent choices. Grilled “Black Onyx” Sirloin Steak (HK$598) – the succulent sirloin (350g) is marinated with a traditional garlic and rosemary combination, and paired with confit of mini Girolle mushrooms. Also marinated with rosemary and garlic is the hearty Beef Tenderloin (HK$1,198) featuring a luscious wagyu (300g) wrapped in Swiss chard leaves before grilling, sliced for serving and dressed with a refined beef jus.

Completing the gorgeous lineup is the pasta option of Spaghetti, Sun-dried Tomato Pesto, and Squid (HKD$228). The al dente spaghetti, made in-house, is brought to life with an umami-rich pesto, topped with thinly sliced squid.

A jubilant time at LPM would not be complete without a cocktail or three from the creative Jean Cocteau Recipes for our Friends menu. Expertly made by LPM’s award-winning mixologists, each inventive cocktail pays homage to the artist, writer and bon vivant. Like a hug from a loved one comes Eugene (HK$130), an enticing combination of Hennessy VSOP, Mancino Rosso, Ferrand Dry Curacao, with sandalwood for warmth and salted prunes for sweetness; the Criquet de Milly (HK$120), with White Cacao, Peppermint Liqueur and Coconut Sorbet, reminiscent of an After Eight mint chocolate; and the playful Tuesday Escape ($130) with Daron Pay D’Auge, Frangelico, Ferrand Dry Curacao and Apple Shrub, inspired by an apple tart.

Additionally, on New Year’s Eve the iconic restaurant will be transformed into a stylised interpretation of the world-famous nightclub, Studio 54. Get ready to boogie into the new year underneath a mirror ball, dressed in your finest disco-chic-with hattitude attire, with a DJ spinning disco classics from 8pm to midnight.
