Designed to be a game changer in how the modern family cooks, Galileo is a Made in Italy project that transcends the technological and experiential advancements of today’s cooking appliances, hallmarked by SMEG’s values of innovation, design, experience and sustainability in the responsible production of white goods. The ovens of the Galileo line are the protagonists of a redesign of the heating system and adopt professional algorithms aimed at revolutionizing the home cooking experience, making it efficient and simple. 

The Galileo line of ovens welcomes and combines a totally renewed cavity with three different cooking modes that offer the highest performance and optimal results: traditional, steam and microwave cooking. The combination of the three technologies is divided into multiple ranges to achieve professional results in the home environment, making it possible to combine three appliances into one and have more space available in the kitchen. 

Spearheading this new generation of SMEG ovens is the Omnichef range which highlights the brand’s revolutionary Multicooking technology that combines traditional, steam and microwave cooking in a single product. The range comes with two cooking functions that make mastering multi-stage recipes a breeze. Different cooking methods can be programmed and triggered to operate one after another (Multistep) or simultaneously (Multitech) without the need to reset temperature and duration parameters. 

The Steam range combines traditional cooking with the benefits of variable dispensing steam. Advanced technologies guarantee, with speed and precision, high-quality steam without any aesthetic impact on the design of the product. The steam range consists of three families of products that meet every need, supporting those who take their first steps in the kitchen and those who want professional results. 

SteamOne combines traditional cooking with the introduction of steam injections between 20% and 40% for healthy and nutritious meals. Also ideal for pizza and baked goods, the cavity has been redesigned for prime visibility with technological enhancements to prepare various courses simultaneously while retaining their 

individual flavour and health benefits. The 800 ml tank allows one to use up to 6 hours of steam, for the best cooking experience. 

Steam100 offers continuous steaming with the addition of steam between 20% and 100%, equipped with special functions such as sous vide cooking, barbecue, stone cooking and air frying. The presence of the Single-point probe also cooks meat and fish to perfection, identifying the temperature at the heart of the ingredient. To ensure the best cooking experience, the Steam100 oven comes with a soft open – soft close system and an intuitive interface. 

Steam100PRO combines traditional and steam cooking with maximum energy efficiency (A++). It offers steam saturation from 20 to 100% for healthy, fat-free cooking as well as steam pulses at specific cooking intervals to maintain humidity without drying the food. Ten steam functions are supported by a large two-liter tank and a high-performance fill and hide loading system, which allows the tank to be filled even when the oven is closed. Combined steaming is complemented by professional functions and algorithms such as sous vide cooking, barbecue, stone cooking and air frying. The Multi-point probe can identify up to three zones within the ingredient with maximum precision and activate gentle cooking DELTA T to obtain soft and juicy meats. 

The addition of professional algorithms in the Omnichef and Steam100PRO ovens welcomes an intuitive user experience and the discovery of endless possibilities in the kitchen. Alongside 150 preset recipes, Galileo’s smart cooking system simplifies preparations with better results through unique features such as the sametime function, which prepares multiple foods at the same time in a single course. 

The SpeedwaveXL range is energy-saving and combines traditional cooking with the benefits of microwaves. Housing SMEG’s largest combined microwave to date, this spacious 60cm platform is fitted with five cooking levels and is capable of reducing preparation time by up to 40%. Equipped with innovative Inverter and Stirrer technologies, controlled distribution of microwaves for uniform cooking is guaranteed alongside accurate temperature control which eliminates the need for a rotating plate. Additionally, the technology of the double chimney creates a special airflow inside the cavity that reduces condensation during cooking. The combined microwave oven is also equipped with dedicated functions to reduce thermal stress for delicate ingredients, such as popcorn, melt (for soft foods such as butter or chocolate) and soft (to defrost ice cream at the perfect consistency). 

Complementing this Galileo cooking experience is a range of professional oven accessories, dedicated to maximum versatility and to cooking any dish perfectly. The maxi-size baking tray, available in 20 and 50 mm versions, has 20% more space than traditional trays and adapts to the most full-bodied preparations. The Rectangular refractory stone absorbs heat and cooks crispy pizzas in just four minutes. Other accessories include the reversible barbecue tray which is great for meat and fish dishes and the airfry tray allows for frying with a lower amount of cooking fat.
