Oakwood® And 8M Collective Sign Landmark Partnership To Inaugurate The Unlimited Collection By Oakwood In Singapore

The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood will comprise three heritage properties owned by 8M Collective, namely KēSa House, Ann Siang House and Wanderlust, from January 2021

Oakwood® today announced the launch of its ninth sub-brand, The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood. Following its strategic move to focus exclusively on hospitality services in May 2020, The Unlimited Collection strengthens Oakwood’s market potential through distinctive residential spaces that celebrate individualism. In a landmark partnership with 8M Collective, Oakwood will manage three iconic heritage properties in Singapore from January 2021, namely KēSa House, Ann Siang House and Wanderlust.

With a global portfolio of more than 80 properties across Asia Pacific, the United States of America and United Kingdom, Oakwood manages 13,000 residential units under an umbrella of distinctive sub-brands. Each sub-brand is carefully curated to answer to the needs of travellers at various stages of their lives, both professional and personal.

In response to the hospitality industry’s evolving landscape, The Unlimited Collection caters to a growing segment of discerning guests, who expect service excellence without compromising their individual style and preferences. Breaking away from the confines of a traditional hotel, The Unlimited Collection adds a refreshing dimension to the guest experience as a result of unique residential spaces characterised by distinctive local influence.

“Oakwood is dedicated to continuous innovation and evolution with a guest-first approach. Recognising that travel decisions reflect the lifestyle and identity of our discerning guests, we welcome the opportunity to differentiate the Oakwood Experience in Singapore’s cultural precincts. The Unlimited Collection’s debut in partnership with 8M Collective symbolises the dawn of a new era in the serviced apartment industry as we celebrate individualism together,” said Dean Schreiber, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Oakwood.

KēSa House Premier Room Terrace

To inaugurate The Unlimited Collection, Oakwood will manage three heritage properties owned by 8M Collective from January 2021. Conveniently located within Singapore’s architectural conservation precincts, KēSa House, Ann Siang House and Wanderlust offer the perfect sanctuary for guests in search of immersive local experiences in Chinatown and Little India.

“Heritage restoration and community rejuvenation lies at the heart of our business. The Unlimited Collection allows all three properties to retain their unique characteristics while leveraging on Oakwood’s expertise in hospitality management and distribution network. 8M Collective is confident that our partnership with Oakwood will bring our vision of delivering flexible living residences to fruition,” said Mr. Ashish Machharam, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of 8M Collective.

KēSa House is an inviting 60-room flexible living concept with a roster of six eclectic restaurants and bars. The striking row of ten shophouses adds a new dynamic to the Keong Saik neighbourhood in Singapore’s Chinatown. The rooms are cleverly constructed and entirely user-experience oriented while the communal spaces are social by design, allowing guests to mingle with other like-minded individuals and shared facilities that provide the utilities and modern comforts of a home.

Ann Siang House

The iconic Ann Siang House is one of Chinatown’s most symbolic heritage buildings. Having
undergone an extensive renovation process, which honours and celebrates the property’s history, Ann Siang House reopened as a new vibrant hospitality and lifestyle destination in the heart of the Club Street and Ann Siang Road neighbourhood. Carving a niche in Singapore’s accommodation space, 8M Collective’s vision sees Ann Siang House reimagined as an entirely new, integrated accommodation, dining and entertainment concept.

Wanderlust

Housed in a heritage 1920s Art Deco style conservation building, Wanderlust merges old world charm with modern day comforts. Reimagined with 29 thoughtfully appointed rooms and suites, Wanderlust redefines how urban stays are experienced and perceived. Close to everything yet delightfully off the beaten track, guests are mere minutes from the bustling city centre while being immersed in the historic urban montage of Little India. Conscientiously designed for the modern traveller, its curated spaces and flexible concept cater to every journey

The Unlimited Collection allows all three properties to retain their individual architectural heritage and distinctive characteristics backed by Oakwood’s world-renowned hospitality excellence and commercial network. Each property will benefit from cost efficiencies through Oakwood’s procurement expertise and carefully selected business partners. Global operational standards and programmes, such as Oakwood Clean360, will be observed to ensure that guests continue to enjoy the Oakwood Experience that they have come to expect.
